Professional Experience

Seda has worked with auditing, tax and consultancy firms, BDO Denet Yeminli Mali Müsavirlik A.S. from 1995-1997 and PricewaterhouseCoopers from 1997 to 2002. Seda has continued her career in Clear Channel Reklam ve Iletisim A.S. as Finance Director. Seda has joined Cerebra in 2009 as the head of Accounting Compliance and Reporting Services Department.

Seda has a wide range of national and international experience on independent audit, accounting and finance management, internal controls, Turkish Commercial Code, US GAAP and IFRS. Her experience is primarily focused on auditing of one of the most important holdings of Turkey and companies operating in automotive, pharmaceuticals, durable goods, media and construction sectors. Seda has acted as engagement manager role in many national and international companies during her career in PwC. Her majorclients are:

Seda has worked in Clear Channel, a 100% American firm, operating in outdoor media sector as a finance director reporting to the general manager. She was responsible for managing the accounting, finance, budgeting, internal control, human resources and US GAAP reporting functions of the company.

Expertise 

She is specialized in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International Standards on Auditing, Capital Market Board Accounting Regulations, generally accepted accounting standards in the US (US GAAP) and Turkish Commercial Code. Furthermore, she possesses a wide range of expertise in consolidation, hard currency re-measurement and inflation accounting.

During her career in PwC, she was responsible for the adaptation and application of the audit methodology. She has joined various training programs about the global audit methodology of PwC abroad and delivered numerous trainings to the PwC Turkey staff for the adaptation of the audit methodology. As a result, she has a wide range of experience on auditing standards, internal control systems, Sarbanes Oxley Law, system process assurance and risk assessment and management.

She has acted as an instructor in many training programs with respect to Audit Methodologies (in PwC) and IFRS (Sabanci Group companies).

She is a Qualified Independent Accountant Financial Adviser (SMMM) since 2000.
