Governance Guide for Family Companies that has been prepared by Cerebra as a main contributor has been published by Corporate Governance Association of Turkey. This Guide is an output of our effort to reflect corporate governance principles to family companies. In this guide we tried to answer this question in a simple way: Which mechanism should be applied to reflect corporate governance mechanism to family companies and how? The Guide details mechanism and tools such as family constitution, family council, family board, succession plans from the perspective of the family governance and also risk management, internal control system, internal audit and independent audit and finance function from the perspective family business institutionalization. In addition, the Guide includes the subject of New Turkish Commercial Code and public offering. Cerebra believes that the good family governance and family business institutionalization are the fundamental issues of Turkish family companies. Therefore, Cerebra is determined to continue to contribute this process by sharing its experience and expertise though NGOs as well as providing professional services in these areas.
